As of Late...

So I survived the first week of Spring semester however the name has been very deceiving. Let me assure you that it is not Spring by any means. It's freezing. It snowed and then it's been raining. Remember that time I hate winter? Yeah. Because I can never freaking get warm and it doesn't help that my apartment is kept at 50 degrees. Yeah. It's frigid. So I'm looking forward to warmth even though I know that it's going to be a while and the coldness is just beginning. It's rough. Either way... We had a long weekend! Thanks to Martin Luther King Jr. It was MLK day. Or milk day as we called it. Milk isn't racist there is white, brown, pink, you name it. So we decided it was appropriate for the occasion. I enjoyed my day off, doing almost nothing.
I got really excited for Valentines day coming up. January 15 I decided it was time to start decorating so I've been crafterizing away, stealing a lot of things from Pintrest. This is what I've made so far...
That heart chain is lining our apartment. No joke. It's awesome.

So I've been crafterizing and hanging out with these girls.. I like having girlfriends again. I didn't really have that my Senior year due to a boyfriend. Which don't get me wrong, I LOVED! Girls just don't really want to be your friend if there is a chance they will be third wheel. But it is nice to have some girl chat once in a while.

This also serves as a before and after... We dyed our hair remember? Well mine is black.. black. And Britt's is dark brown and way cute. So we'll start there with the recap. Other exciting things that happened... (Kind of.. My life really isn't very exciting...)

On Sunday, I sang with Lynds in her ward. We sang Savior, Redeemer of my Soul. From 17 Miracles if you've seen it.. If not, stop reading this and go see it. We wrote some harmony to it and might I say, It sounded good. I was happy with the finished product. But when you perform in a college town, everyone you know comes to see. So a lot of my friends who I don't sing in front of, came. I was nervous. This included Mike who I NEVER sing in front of. He's my toughest critic and it just makes me panic that I actually care what he thinks. I just didn't look at him but the whole time I was singing I was just thinking, "I can't believe I'm doing this right now. Singing in a microphone, in front of him..." I'm  a baby, I know. But! Later that day, The roommates and I went to Britt's house for dinner and I came home and the cute kid got me flowers! I was so giddy. It was the cutest thing. He's the best.

Mike and I went to Beauty and the Beast in 3D! It was good. They did a really good job and it was cool to see a classic Disney movie in theatres!

Brie, Britt and I went to Pizza Pie Cafe for their $5 day. It was good but I had already eaten so much that day since I had just been sitting doing nothing. I snack. So I had like 3 pieces, including an Oreo pizza. SO GOOD. Britt, my super tiny roommate had 9. NINE pieces of pizza guys. It was so funny.

Mike and I went Ice skating a few days ago! That was fun! He had been cooped up all day long, playing COD and whatnot so he was way hyper, so off we went. There was this cute little Asian girl there, about 4 or 5  probably just skating away, doing tricks, spinning, holding her leg, all this way cool stuff, I was mesmerized be her. She was a little Michelle Kwan.  Then this other kid who was in a wheelchair was being pushed around by his dad and soon a train of people held on and the kid was steering his electric wheelchair all over the ice and was so happy. It was really awesome. It made me feel good.

Yesterday, I made dinner for 8 people. Ritz Chicken, real mashed potatoes and peas. All I needed was rolls and it would have been just like at home. Either way, it was really stressful. Everyone was hanging out in the kitchen and our kitchen really isn't that big so it was hard for me to get everything done but it turned out good and we had a cute family dinner.

The week is halfway through and I'm exhausted. I have a meeting with the Bishop tonight and I'm afraid I'm about to get a new calling... :S I'm excited for the weekend, to get some sleep and have some downtime. Only one more long day of classes and I'm done. I'm excited.
