Fall and Football games are some of my favorite memories from last year at college.
Doing the "I Believe that We Will Win" cheer at the beginning of each game
Yelling "Stupid" at the other team
The Scotsman, and making sure you go full out while you milk that cow
Just being with all your friends, surrounded by so many other people
This year, not much has changed.
I still get really anxious to go to the games and I love doing that cheer at the very beginning of the game.
It is a little different going without all your best friends.
However, I was especially lucky to go with a few of them and to meet their friends for the game last night.
I needed that.
It was perfect.
The Utah State- U of U game.
What can I say?
Suck in Muss.
We did it Aggies!
And I am so proud of that.
This game was so intense.
The U didn't score until after the half.
Utah State already had 2 touchdowns.
1 because the kicker, kicked the ball backwards into our end zone?
What the heck.
It was awesome.
We were tied for almost the whole 3rd quarter.
USU scores with 9 minutes to go.
UofU scores with 3 minutes to go.
Overtime.
Utah State almost scored on the first down but was inches away from the end zone.
The ball was easily walked into the end zone a few plays later.
The U gets a turn and scores but their was a flag on the play and it doesn't count.
4th down and the pass in blocked.
Aggies freakin' Win!
So what happens?
We storm the field!
But let me tell you about where our seats were.
Tenth row
Dead center. Right on the 50 yard line.
So basically we were forced to storm the field.
But I would have done it anyway!
That was so exhilarating!
To run down there and do the "I believe" cheer on the field, with the players,
when you aren't going to fall off the benches and die.
Then we sang the Scotsman and instead of every still walking back to their seats,
Everyone stops.
The people on the field sang in to the people in the stands.
It was awesome.
So way to go Aggies.
That game was definitely the highlight of the season.
And even though I would cheer for the U at any other game.
I was proud to be cheerin' for the Aggies this time.
