Whoa, who wants a mission update?!
Oh everyone!
Yay.
I knew it guys.
There are pictures though so be excited.
Also be excited that this one won't just be about Mike Elder Free
But right now it will.
First I'm really not completely sure what this kid is up to since I have to ask him specifically to find out but since I don't know the questions to ask, it's hard to get information from this kid.
But he is still in Vancouver- "The Couv" and loving it.
I've heard some stories of investigators but mostly about this lady names Lori.
She is an insane cat lady.
Mike had to give her cat a bath a few weeks ago.
It screamed at him.
And Lori has a mad crush on his companion, Elder Carr
They have had some crazy things happen.
Like the "Camas Chainsaw Massacre" as he called it.
They were cutting down trees and one of the Elders in his zone swung the chainsaw and it somehow smacked his leg and cut it open.
Also some Sister was driving way too fast and they almost slid into a ditch.
Let's hope this kid comes back in once piece.
He says it's some hard work and they did not get Labor day off for the Lord's work.
He is really doing well though.
He is learning a lot.
He is obviously learning all things church, and also how to deal with other people.
He even learned how to do his laundry and make food.
He did say that food consists of Pop-tarts, cereal and bagels though.
He mostly eats with members and they do the cooking.
He has been gone for 3 months already.
He says he misses his family a lot.
Especially his Mom.
He's sad that he is going to miss a lot of exciting things while he is gone.
But he is still happy to be where he is.
As hard as he says it is, he seems to be doing a lot of fun things and I'm starting to think I said goodbye to him so he could go on a 2 year Vacation.
Did anyone notice that they are only wearing their suits and name tags in 1 of these pictures?
But I'm sure they are working very hard, studying, searching and sharing the church's message with anyone that they can.

I miss that boy everyday but I am so happy that he is where he is.
He is doing such an amazing thing and I could not be happier for him.

Well she is working on her mission papers right now!

Our first little missionary in our family.
She is the best.
I'll miss her lots.
I don't know what I'll do as the only girl and the temporary oldest child of the family for 18 months.
But I am as equally as happy for her that she made this decision and preparing to go.
I can't wait until we find out where she is going.

Good news is the two of these guys will probably get home around the same time.
At least that is good news for me.
Now, how does one survive while her 2 best friends are gone and not very easy to contact?
