Withdrawls of the past

So, if reading this and haven't read the below post, you need to stop and go read that first. this will make more sense if you do.
College is great. As I've said before. A lot. But it is.
High school was also great but I experienced it a little differently than most.
I was one of those crazy, loud, glee-fanatic, rambunctious, high-spirited, power hungry, harmony making, solfege doing, sight reading, sectional-izer, CTR-er, lived in a formal dress all of December and May, texter of teachers-well teacher, happy birthday in at least 6 parts.... you get the picture, CHOIR KID. Known by most as a Choir Nerd. But sometimes I find that stereotypical. But yes, it all started Sophomore year when I made the Ladies Choir-Le Suone Dolci. Translation please? The Sweet Sound. Then each year after that I added a new choir to the mix, while always keeping the previous.
10th grade- Ladies

11th grade-Ladies, Concert choir aka A Capella. (And yes people. A Capella is TWO words.)

12th grade- Ladies, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir aka Madrigals.

Yes people that is a total of 16-almost 17 credits of choir throughout high school out of a total of 45.
If you do the math (which I opted out of in high school for more choir...) that is a total of 36% of my high school years was spent in the choir room.
Then if you add in all the times I chose to hang out in that room for no reason, all the Saturdays there for performances or auditions, the late nights and early mornings for practice, it all averages to about 90% of my days at Brighton High School was spent Choir-izing.

It turned into a disease. An incurable one.
However, as it does for many, graduation came, college on the agenda (it's great, if you didn't know)

Aggies are all this cute.

It's funny because he was the choir pres...

So that is where my withdrawls come in. I miss being taken over by music.
I am planning on majoring in Music Edu. but have not auditioned for the program so I just sit around, with no scripted singing surrounding me or heinous robes, or slightly tacky dresses and folders full of majestic tunes in my life.
My sister roommate explains my life and these withdrawls perfectly. To read this go to : http://hilaryann09.blogspot.com/2011/04/recovering-choir-kids.html
Long story short. I love choir still and it hit me today that I miss singing all day with a lot of people and just being in love with the music. Cheesy, I know.
Plus, me and my choir teacher were besties. I was in presidency of these choirs all three years, a different office every year so I was very fortunate to be close with him. Plus we were kindred spirits. Lets be honest.

I love choir and will always come to be the Alumni and sing the First Nowell, Red Red Rose and Come thou Fount. And attempt 3 ships since I'm not sure I ever learned that one...
