Called to Serve.

Jaron Fowers. Scratch that. ELDER Jaron Fowers. Called to Serve in the Fortworth, Texas Mission. Reporting to the MTC on November 2, 2011.

That is today folks.

This kid seriously became such a huge blessing in my life the last two months. He didn't even know it. He showed me what it was like to stand up for yourself and believe. The faith this kid has is through the roof. His testimony is perfect and completely missionary ready. I love that he feels completely blessed to serve the Lord for two years. Once I told him how proud of him I was that he was going on a mission and how he just made it seem so easy. He said, "Oh, no. It's not easy. It's really hard. But I never would even consider not going." I love that. He admitted it was hard. He was leaving behind a lot. We'll get to that. But that he knew it was something he had to do and he was going to love it. I'm just so impressed with him. He made me realize how much respect I have for missionaries. They make me melt. He was my first experience with that.

How do I know Jaron? He is my gorgeous roommates boyfriend of two years. TWO. YEARS.  If that's not ironic I don't know what is. They are perfect for each other. Seriously. They love each other so much and you can just see that. The way he looks at her. The way she appreciates his every move from afar. The way her phone would ring "Our Song" and we all just knew it was Jaron- even when it wasn't. The way he would sing so loud in her ear every lovey-dovey country song. Back Road, God Gave Me You, Own the Night. All of them. The way he would just pick up her 110 pound body and just throw her over his shoulder because he could. She pretended to hate it, She loved it. :) They would read scriptures together, talk about good church talks, and the mission. Church was a popular subject with them and it didn't matter. I loved that. If they don't get married once he's back, I will be shocked. They are perfect. Their love is adorable. Not annoying or over the top. Just adorable.

So Jaron, This is to you. Thank you for doing the right thing. For standing up for what you believe in. For teaching the truth. For giving up 2 years with your loved ones so that others can spend eternity with theirs. For  being my example of a worthy Priesthood holder. For secretly helping my testimony grow. For introducing me to great country music. For showing me the back roads. For showing me that Gods plan isn't my plan. For being so humble. For loving everyone and being accepting. For just being you. For loving Brittany. For doing anything for her. For loving life. For being positive. For having good advice. For Loving everyone.

You are the cutest kid. Fortworth is lucky to have you. They better take good care of you for the next two years. I'll miss you a lot. I'll write you. I'll pray for you. I'll wish you the best of luck. I'll secretly count the years, months, days and seconds down until you return. I'll be rooting for you.

You are an incredible person and I'm so blessed to have gotten to know you. I'm sad it was only for a short 3 months but it was well worth it. I'm proud of you for being a missionary. Good luck. The church is true, see you in two.
